Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications
Graphicacy partnered with the Lister Hill team to migrate, upgrade and deploy a website for a Drupal 8 environment while retaining the user experience and simplifying the publishing experience for a vast medical research knowledge hub.
The National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine program, Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications (Lister Hill)–was burdened with an outdated content management system that did not offer necessary publishing features.
Lister Hill came to Graphicacy asking for solutions to migrate their current site from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8, while maintaining the content and features of the current site; preserving the user experience; optimizing the publishing experience; and ensuring support was built in for mobile apps and other features that would integrate with the site over time.
This particular project was more complicated than a traditional site migration due to the tremendous amount of knowledge and biomedical communications housed by the National Institutes of Health’s Lister Hill team.
A major focus for Graphicacy was to build a new platform for website growth that would ensure a long shelf-life.
The website was successfully migrated, upgraded and deployed, creating a seamless site administrative flow and a great user experience for all audiences.
