Rural Health Information Hub

Data Collection, Analysis and Visualization

The Federal Office of Rural Health Policy partnered with Graphicacy to make rural health data more accessible.

For this project, Graphicacy partnered with RHIB to acquire and locate, analyze and format a number of datasets that were then used to create a set of visualizations for all 50 states, eight topical pages (things like rural health disparities, demographics and substance abuse) of information graphics, an interactive multi-topic “explorer” graphic, templates for the client to use in generating new graphics along with a graphic style guide outlining a framework for typography, color, spacing, chart type selection and a few “dos and don’ts.” The idea was to create a fully integrated system of graphic templates that RHIB could deploy on their site and add to with limited outside designer/developer support in the future.
